Location
Aughagower is located on the west coast of Ireland in County Mayo. It is five miles
southeast from Westport of the R330. It is approximately 5 miles from the touristic
town of Wstport where their are a selection of fine hotels for anyone planning on
staying over. Castlebar the county's premier town is located 12 miles from Aughagower.
Activities as well as a large selection of shops include bowling, the cinema and
nightly entertainment is provided at the Royal Theatre.It is situated seven miles from
Croagh Patrick. The picturesque coastal villages of Mulranny and Achill are approximately
32 miles. Directions to these towns are by taking the R330 to Westport and then taking
the N59 to Mulranny and onwards to Achill. Knock airport is a convenient local airport
and is less than an hours journey away.
